Could I be any luckier?

I just got a brand new Fender Jazz bass. Really. By "got" I mean I was given a brand new Fender Jazz bass with a hardshell case that was bought in 2000 and spent the last 6 years untouched until I got a phone call from an old friend. From what I can tell, the friend in question was getting rid of stuff and I was the only person he could think of that he knew that still played bass. So with that I went over and picked it up. There is not a scratch on it, it's American made and has your traditional dark black sunburst finish.
And then to top it off, I was told I have a royalty check waiting for me up at the theater for a recording that I made several years ago for This American Life. Sweet!
